About us
Since 2018, Medbolso has been delivering an integrated solution so that the entire payment flow for medical services — procedures, surgeries, consultations and on-call shifts — can be easily managed by co-ops and medical groups.
The Medbolso story
Medbolso was born from a real pain point faced by two anesthesiologists: Bruno Carmona and Bruno Matos. They knew first-hand the problems caused by poor management of medical billing guides — they used their own co-op's platform and felt the demands were not fully met, running into process flaws and poor external support.
They joined forces with the administrator Leonardo Daher, an experienced co-op manager, and decided to build their own tool. They partnered with Execute Software, a technology company focused on app development. When Execute Software's partners — Francisco Demarim, Ernani Sales and Adailton Lima, PhD in Computer Science at UFPA — noticed the market potential, they knew from the start that the solution could become a startup.
Founded in early 2018 as a spin-off of Execute Software, which had been serving medical co-ops since 2017, Medbolso spent 5 years at the Guamá Science and Technology Park (PCT). Today it powers the back office of more than 50 organizations across 17+ Brazilian states.
